That means free admission for all ages\, all day long\, to our Museum galleries and the Inspire Center. \nExplore our newest exhibition\, Coffee: A Connecticut Story\, or join us Sunday at 2 pm for our guided gallery talk through our exhibition Wide Awake: Campaigning for Lincoln. Families\, don’t forget to join us at Saturday’s free family program\, “Snow Many Snowmen!” at 11 am. \nFree First Weekend falls on the first full weekend (Saturday to Sunday) of each month. No pre-registration required.

We also have a variety of programs going on today\, like our Free First Saturday Family Program\, a Holiday Printmaking Workshop (pre-registration required)\, and a guided tour of Coffee: A Connecticut History. The first 90 drinks are complementary!

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT! Printmaking for the Holidays with Lara Miller
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is now sold out! Thank you for your interest\, we look forward to having you join us at future programs and events. \nJoin us in learning the basics of linocut printmaking! In this workshop\, led by artist Lara Miller\, you will be guided through the whole “block print” process: from designing a pattern\, transferring\, carving\, testing and printing your greeting cards to take home. No printmaking experience required\, and people of all artistic abilities are welcome. Even if you think you can’t draw\, you can print! All the tools and materials will be provided; however\, participants are encouraged to bring any print making tools they wish to use. \nLara Miller is a non-profit professional\, freelance artist & consultant\, writer\, and craftsperson. Her various art and craft forms consist of block printing\, decorative carving\, sewing\, embroidery\, painting\, pottery\, and more\, and she has taught classes in most of those crafts. Originally from Kentucky and West Virginia\, she now loves living in Suffield\, Connecticut. \nThis workshop will be structured for the beginner\, but all levels of expertise are encouraged to register!
