    Did you know the first American submarine was invented in Connecticut? What about the first practical helicopter? Join us at the museum to learn more about these transportation innovations! Families will make a toy submarine, fly paper airplanes and helicopters, and pose in a hot air balloon-inspired photo booth while exploring the history of transportation in Connecticut.

    Happy Valentine’s Day! Using historic valentines from the Museum’s collection as inspiration, create one-of-a-kind cards to give to your loved ones! 

  • Family Program: Mug-nificent Masterpieces

    Espresso yourself with coffee art! Families will make one-of-a-kind coffee mugs, try their hand at cappuccino-inspired foam art, and design collages using a variety of coffee materials. For inspiration, families can explore the exhibit "Coffee: A Connecticut Story."
