SUMMARY:A Year in Review: CMCH Annual Members' Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us May 16 at 5:30 pm as we take a moment to update you on our significant milestones from 2021. \nThis year’s meeting will be hybrid. It will be held in-person with the option to participate virtually via Zoom.  \nGuests attending in-person will also enjoy the opening reception of our exhibitions\, Hamilton Heroes and Villains\, and Formative: Frederick Law Olmsted in Connecticut.  The opening reception will follow the Annual Members’ Meeting. \nClick here to register to attend the Annual Members’ Meeting. DESCRIPTION:[slideshow_deploy id=’14335′]\nSeveral artists who have participated in the Southern New England Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program will\ndemonstrate and perform at a reception for the exhibit Passing It On: Traditional Arts Apprenticeships.  Art forms\npresented will include Mexican mariachi music\, Lebanese singing\, Portuguese accordion playing\, Somali Bantu basket\nmaking\, and decorative woodcarving. \nThe event takes place at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History\,           1 Elizabeth St.\, Hartford from 5:30 – 7:30pm on Thursday February 1 (snow date Feb. 2). The event is free and open to the public. \nThe Southern New England Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program connects masters of a folk or traditional art form\nwith qualified students to teach artistic skills and cultural knowledge through the classic apprenticeship model of\nregular\, informal\, intensive one-on-one learning over several months. The program knits together artists from the same\nethnic or occupational group across state lines to share traditions and stimulate new learning.  Find out more \nThe exhibit and public events are supported by the National Endowment for the Arts\, the Connecticut Office of the\nArts/DECD\, and the Edward C. and Ann T.
