Her current monograph is on ministers who were accused of sexual indiscretions in the colonial period. He has worked on the project since 2010 and was a senior member of the team that conceived\, planned\, and implemented the inaugural education and interpretive programming for the institution. Previously\, Rauch managed grants for the Center for Informal Learning and Schools at the Exploratorium in San Francisco\, and worked in the education departments at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. DESCRIPTION:Virtual Presentation!\nOliver Wolcott Jr. (1760-1833) was the nation’s second Treasury Secretary and a key figure on the national stage during the Federalist administrations of Presidents George Washington and John Adams.  Upon his resignation from the federal government in 1800\, Wolcott prospered for many years as a private citizen\, and was later elected Governor of Connecticut\, serving for ten years. \nIn this virtual presentation\, Dr. John Lizzi will examine Wolcott’s contributions to both national and state government during his nearly forty years of public service\, as well as discuss to what extent Wolcott evolved politically during his long career. Wolcott’s success can be attributed to his steadfast commitment to his principles including personal integrity\, nationalism\, the need for a strong national government\, and the promotion of manufacturing and industry. \nThis virtual event is free and open to the public. Her publications focus on the contributions of American women to the major cultural movements of the long 19th-century. \nElizabeth Petrino is Director of Liberal Studies in the Associate Degree Program at Fairfield Bellarmine and Professor of English at Fairfield University\, Fairfield\, CT. She and Mary Louise Kete have co-edited Lydia Sigourney: Critical Essays and Cultural Views (U of Massachusetts Press\, 2018).
