Family Program: Traditional Storytelling

April 4 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join us for a day of stories and crafts with special guest storyteller Wunneanatsu Lamb-Cason! In her debut picture book, Grandmother Moon, she celebrates the relationship between a grandmother and grandchild, weaving Indigenous teachings into a modern setting. The program will include a live reading from Grandmother Moon as well as examples of traditional stories, offering visitors of all ages the chance to reflect on the power of intergenerational storytelling. Families will also complete related crafts and activities that further explore the art of storytelling. Books will be available for purchase and can be signed with Wunneanatsu.

This program is FREE and great for children of all ages. This is a drop-in program; no pre-registration required. Questions? Contact Katerina Mazzacane, Youth and Family Programs Manager, at kmazzacane@connecticutmuseum.org or 860-236-5621 x222.

Thanks to Berkshire Bank for their
generous support of Free First Weekend.
