    Go on an adventure with Sophie Mouse! Inspired by The Adventures of Sophie Mouse series by Connecticut author Poppy Green, this program will bring to life some of Sophie's fun-filled escapades in the woodland village of Silverlake Forest. Families can hop on lily pads, craft with flowers, and design their own make-believe forest filled with whimsical woodland characters!

    Grab your detective gear and get ready to solve a mystery! Decorate your own magnifying glass, solve clues, and search through the galleries for special objects and images.

  • Family Program: Winter Wonderland

    Visit the Museum for a day of wintry fun! Families will make holiday poppers to celebrate the new year, decorate cards for loved ones, and create a one-of-a-kind window decoration inspired by some of Connecticut's iconic wintry window displays.

    Can you show someone a sound? Can you “see” objects without using your eyes? Explore how senses work as you try to guess the items in a mystery box using only your sense of touch, test out different ways sound travels, and create a sensory portrait!
