A small exhibition of artifacts and images from the CMCH collection commemorates the 20^th anniversary of the September 11^th terrorist attacks. Of the nearly 3,000 people who died during the attacks, 161 victims had connections to Connecticut. In the days and months following 9/11, families and community members reached out to support first-responders and to remember lost loved ones. Items on display include memorial quilts made by families and friends in Norwalk; a hand-painted disaster relief sign created by the East Brooklyn (CT) Fire Department; and letters, drawings, and other tributes made by family members.
