A small exhibition of artifacts and images from the CMCH collection commemorates the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Of the nearly 3,000 people who died during the attacks, 161 victims had connections to Connecticut. In the days and months following 9/11, families and community members reached out to support first-responders and to remember lost loved ones. Items on display include memorial quilts made by families and friends in Norwalk; a hand-painted disaster relief sign created by the East Brooklyn (CT) Fire Department; and letters, drawings, and other tributes made by family members.
This exhibition is on display at the CMCH.
