Family Program: Fictional Forests

September 7, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Go on an adventure with Sophie Mouse! Inspired by The Adventures of Sophie Mouse series by Connecticut author Poppy Green, this program will bring to life some of Sophie’s fun-filled escapades in the woodland village of Silverlake Forest. Families can hop on lily pads, craft with flowers, and design their own make-believe forest filled with whimsical woodland characters!

This program is FREE and great for children ages 10 and under. This is a drop-in program; no pre-registration required. Questions? Contact Katerina Mazzacane, Youth and Family Programs Manager, at kmazzacane@connecticutmuseum.org or 860-236-5621 x222.

Accessibility Notice: The elevator that connects our auditorium wing to the rest of our building is currently out of order. Individuals using wheelchairs and/or unable to climb stairs will be able to enter the Museum using the auditorium lobby entrance. The program will take place in the auditorium and is therefore accessible via this entrance. To access the accessible bathroom and the exhibitions, the stair-free route will require exiting the building and re-entering through the courtyard. Staff will be available to assist with this process. We deeply apologize for this inconvenience.

This program is made possible through the generous support of Berkshire Bank!
