Have you ever heard of lawn bowling? What about pedestrianism? Learn about and experience these community-based sports and more at this program for visitors of all ages! At this outdoor program, participants will have a chance to meet and learn from local athletes throughout the day.
From 10:00 am – noon, you can get skating tips and learn about the wild sport of roller derby from HARD (Hartford Area Roller Derby). Bring your skates!
From 2:00 – 4:00 pm, meet Lady Carrie Trimmier-Mccrorey from the Connecticut American Double Dutch League — be ready to jump!
Visitors can also try their hand at a variety of other different sports, including lawn bowling and cricket, and explore our special exhibition, We’re Game! Sports and Community.
