Opening Reception for Girl Scouts of Connecticut

June 20, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

We invite CMCH members and special guests to join us for the opening reception of Girl Scouts of Connecticut. The CMCH is partnering with the Girl Scouts of Connecticut to create an exhibit about the history of the organization as they celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the Gold Award. For more than 100 years, the Girl Scouts have helped girls develop courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. The Girl Scouts of Connecticut is one of the earliest official Scout groups in the United States. They have a rich collection of objects and ephemera related to their history. Artifacts such as merit badges, uniforms, and photographs will be displayed to illustrate the Girl Scouts tradition of developing and rewarding leadership traits.

RSVP by Wednesday, June 15 by phone (860) 236-5621 x 238 or by email rsvp@chs.org.
