Speak Up Storytelling and Book Launch Party

July 30, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

This event has been rescheduled from its original date of June 18th. All tickets purchased for June 18th will be honored on July 30th. If you have purchased a ticket and are unable to attend the new date, please email natalie_belanger@chs.org.

Our longtime friend, storyteller and author Matt Dicks, has published a new book, Someday Is Today: 22 Simple, Actionable Ways to Propel Your Creative Life. The CMCH is happy to be hosting his Book Launch Party Extravaganza!

The evening will feature storytelling, brand new strategies for making your creative dreams come true, audience participation, giveaways, books for sale, book signing, lots and lots of laughs, and more.

Joining Matthew onstage will be Elysha Dicks, author of the foreword to the book, Matthew Shepard, author of the afterword, Jeni Bonaldo, frequently maligned figure in the pages of the book, and many more.

A suggested donation of $10 – all proceeds go directly to the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. Tickets can be purchased at the door!  Light refreshments will be provided.

Doors open at 6:30 PM; come a little early to browse the museum’s galleries before the party kicks off!
