Growers of Color: Robert Peck
The Land of Hemp Milk & Honey
Hood Farmer Rob is a farmer out of the Bridgeport area who specializes in growing gourmet mushrooms. A vegetarian himself, he delights in sharing delicious ways to prepare unfamiliar plants and mushrooms in familiar ways. He has become a regional presence leading workshops in urban agriculture.
In this video, Rob shares his personal journey of discovery. Through growing food and cooperating with the broader BIPOC agricultural community, he reflects on how collective efforts help address lack of food access and food security and contribute to the greater good.
